Talking Big Ideas.
“There is no doubt that it is around the family and the home that all the greatest virtues are created, strengthened, and maintained.”
~ attributed to Winston Churchill
It’s been almost four years since I started this newsletter. I’m proud to say I’ve published a piece on time every week. Writing is really hard for me, and this has been among the most fulfilling things I’ve done in my career.
I’m going to start publishing here twice a month instead of weekly. Five reasons why:
- I’m excited to explore deeper. Switching away from weekly publishing creates space to dive into bigger books and ideas.
- I want to keep getting better. By publishing less often, I can put more effort into everything I publish.
- Readers are overwhelmed. There’s so much written content being created now that it’s hard to keep up with the firehouse of articles coming out.
- Our business is expanding and taking more of my time.
- I want to be sure I focus on what matters most. Maryrose gave birth to our son Pearson on August 6th. The most important thing for me is to spend lots of time every day giving them both my full attention.
Maryrose and I are fallibilists. We believe in adaptability and continuous learning – no one has everything figured out perfectly so it’s essential we’re open to regularly testing out new ideas and approaches.
Making adjustments is the path to progress in our universe. From engineering to biology to ideas and skill development. I’ll test this new approach for a while, get feedback from myself, Maryrose, and readers, and likely adjust again in the future.
The more we iterate, the more we can learn and grow.
My vision for each month is to publish one essay and one tactical piece. As always, I’ll focus on writing useful pieces for our clients and everyone else interested in bringing their ideas to life while better connecting with people. I’ll continue to lean into exploring my curiosity.
I’ll still publish on Fridays at 10:30 am Mountain Time. And twice a month is my minimum commitment to you. I’ll occasionally publish more, including on other days when relevant.
If there’s anything in particular you’d like me to cover, email me at bob@ewingschool.com. I’d love to hear from you.
Finally, let me know if you want to join one of our 2025 Mastermind Groups. They are starting to fill up. I promise it will help you achieve what matters most to you in the coming year.
Thanks so much for reading!
